slim aarons.

every summer i find myself wanting to live inside a slim aarons photograph.

the fool.

the fool represents the mystical cleverness bereft of reason within us.

the fool is both the beginning and the end.

Heat Wave

I read somewhere that New York culture underwent the greatest shift with the invention of the air conditioner. Suddenly life lost its raucous energy that bred lovers and enemies in the sweaty street to window interactions of daylight's meandering glance. Either way, I hate New York in the summer. This is what I like to associate warmer weather with - a windy beach in Maine where the temperature barely skims seventy degrees.

Alice Liddell's Birthday: May 4th

"I see nobody on the road," said Alice.

"I only wish I had such eyes," the King remarked in a fretful tone. "To be able to see Nobody! And at that distance too! Why, it's as much as I can do to see real people, by this light."

chasing the dragon

growing up, my family's dining room table was an antique opium table my mother had bought from thailand.  I never thought it was weird to eat cross legged on the floor off a table that opium addicts used to nod out on.  Perhaps this was an indication of my future to come...

Anyways, I've been obsessed with opium dens ever since. I mean who wouldn't want to lay around all day surrounded my beautiful fabrics and soft pillows while chasing the dragon?

mind the gap

is it strange that i think gaps in teeth are sexy?  i used to sit in front of the mirror when i was little and imagine myself with a gap.

i still want one.
